Welcome to Made X Hudson!
We’re a sustainability-driven fashion company with a (CFDA-approved) small-batch garment factory and two slow-fashion boutiques in New York’s Hudson Valley, featuring clothes and accessories designed and sewn by us, alongside other small, mostly local brands — including original, vintage and upcycled goods.
We are also a lead for the New York Fashion Innovation Center, working with the state to create a sustainable textile supply chain with animal, plant and bio fiber materials.

About Us
Made X Hudson began with a simple, stubborn question: why is it so hard to make clothes in America? The pandemic's mask shortage made that scarcity impossible to ignore — and in 2020, a small group of makers, designers, and craftspeople set out to do something about it, opening an atelier-factory here in the Hudson Valley built specifically to work with small-batch brands and support designers who wanted their goods made responsibly and collaboratively.
Offering the lowest required minimum quantities of any US factory, and shaping our services around what our clients actually needed, we bootstrapped our way to a bustling factory — producing the Made X house line and working alongside a wide variety of other small companies trying to build something real.
The more we learned about the fashion industry's environmental and human costs, the more committed we became to doing this differently. The first Made X Hudson shop opened in March 2023 on Catskill's Main St, just below the factory, followed by a second shop on Warren St in Hudson that August.
We're a working collective of pattern makers, stitchers, cutters, and shopkeepers — the people who actually build the clothes, not just design them. That's shaped what we make now: everyday, well-built basics for the everyday creative and maker, designed as a team rather than around any single point of view, meant to be lived in, washed over and over, and to get better with wear. It's also the throughline of what we're trying to prove — that a small American factory, run collaboratively, can actually work.
Featuring new, vintage and upcycled apparel, the shops let us sell our own line alongside other small and sustainable brands (including many whose goods are produced at Made X), host workshops and gatherings, and support customers in their quest to create a more sustainable wardrobe — and life. We hope you'll visit us!
