Olga Ella’s patchworked denim garments are works of textile art, and this one-of-its-kind jacket is no exception. It began life as a denim work shirt, and has been transformed into an open-front jacket with a 6-pointed-star quilt block appliquéd onto the back. It has a pair of front pockets beneath the ghosts of its original chest pockets, along with straight hems on the sleeves and body.

The denim pieces involved are different shades, and most or all are from other vintage garments. All of the wear and patina in the fabrics contributes to the unique character of the piece.
