Mark Harrington

Mark Harrington is a self-taught painter and ceramicist living and working in Brooklyn NY. Utilizing both hand-building and pottery wheel techniques, he creates stoneware vessels and sculptures from collaged forms that later serve as the surface for intuitive mark-making, experimental color and compounded narratives. Mark’s vibrant and irregular ceramics draw influence from contemporary abstract painting while being firmly rooted in the historical tradition of decorative vessel-making.
