It’s HOT around here — that time of year where it’s a struggle to stay cool but look cute while doing it. We just got in this ridiculously chic little halter top from Sloppy Seconds, with an asymmetric hemline, and couldn’t wait to throw it over a freshly sewn pair of our MXH Town Shorts in our fave moss hemp-cotton blend (a lightweight canvas that doesn’t wear stiff or heavy), the perfect neutral. And then we leaned into stripes on stripes with florals, adding a breezy, striped Marni hammock tote (secondhand, new with tags) and a hand-painted Juda Leah baseball cap (painted right down the street here in Catskill) for a jolt of color. The blue-and-white striped fabric of the halter top is just as versatile as the army brown-green of the shorts — mix and match it with the rest of your wardrobe until you get the urge to throw a cardigan over it when the temps start to dip.
