Hand Painted Fern Silk Scarf
Handmade silk scarves hand-dyed using chlorophyllan extracted from mulberry leaves, giving them a pale green base. Then hand-painted with natural earth pigments in a fern motif.

* These natural earth pigments come from clays and oxides collected from all over the world. The process in which they are used on natural fibers is centuries-old and uses home-made soy milk as a binder with the textile.
* This piece is hand-painted. Due to the craftsmanship of its creation its character can vary with time. Beauty should be found in imperfection and therefore marks or irregularities that appear must not be considered defects but attributes of its use.
Margo is a woman-owned, Brooklyn-based maker of small-batch clothing and accessories, sewn in-house from either 100% cotton canvas or deadstock fabrics, many of which are also hand-dyed and/or hand-painted with natural dyes and pigments.
